Due to the extraordinary situation in Ukraine, many Ukrainians have been forced to take residence in Denmark. 

There are many things to consider when moving to a foreign country such as where to live and work. On this page, you will find relevant information which will, hopefully, be able to answer many of your questions.

Residence Permit 

The Danish Special Act was adopted on March 16, 2022, and grants temporary residence permits to Ukrainian citizens and persons recognized as refugees from Ukraine. It provides the right to work, school, temporary accomodation and much more. 

In November, 2024, the Danish Parliament decided that residence permits granted under this Act, can be extended until 17 March 2026. This means that if you have been granted a residence permit under the Special Act, you can have your residence permit extended until March 17, 2026.

Daycare / Дошкільні виховні заклади

All children who have legal residence in Denmark must have the possibility to receive childcare in public daycare facilities.

Options for childcare consist of:

• Day nursery (in Danish: vuggestue) for children 0-3 years old
• Home-based childminder (in Danish: dagplejer) for children 0-3 years old
• Kindergarten (in Danish: børnehave) for children 3-6 years old
• Pre-school/after school centres (in Danish: fritidshjem) for children 6-10 years old. 

You can sign up your child for childcare when he or she has a CPR number. The sign up is done digitally using the self-service solution Digital Placement (Digital Pladsanvisning).

In the Digital Placement self service solution (Digital Pladsanvisning), you must know your school district and guarantee of childcare district (garantidistrikt), e.g. the local area in which the institution your child usually would be taken care of is situated.

Щоб вашу дитину прийняли в дошкільний виховний заклад, потрібно, щоб у дитини був дозвіл на проживання (opholdstilladelse). Окрім того у дитини або її батьків повинен бути персональний номер (cpr-nummer), а також вони повинні бути занесенні до національного реєстру мешканців у районі Сюдджурс.

Батьки можуть подати заявку на місце у дошкільному закладі. Щоб записати дитину, перейдіть до електронного реєстру групи розподілу місць - Digital Pladsanvisning.

Для початку вашій дитині запропонують місце у дошкільному закладі в окрузі, де ви живете. Прийом до виховного закладу гарантується протягом 1-2 місяців після подачі заявки батьками, але не раніше виповнення дитиною 26 тижнів.  

Якщо вашій дитині 0-3 роки, вам буде запропоновано місце у няні або в ясельній групі.

У той місяць, коли вашій дитині виповнюється 3 роки, вона може йти у дитсадок. Сім’ї надсилається пропозиція місця з електронного реєстру, і цю пропозицію можна прийняти або ж відмовитися.

Звертайтеся до Групи розподілу місць за допомогою та підтримкою з поданням заяви.

Коли вашу дитину записано в ясельну групу, до няні, дитсадка, групи продовженого дня чи приватного закладу, ви можете подавати заявку на субсидію оплати дошкільного закладу.

Звертайтеся до Служби роботи з громадянами (borgerservice) за телефоном 8753 5000, і вам допоможуть і пояснять, як подавати заявку на субсидію.

School / Школа

Children in Denmark start school in August the year they turn 6 years old. 

If your child has limited or no Danish langauge skills, they must attend a reception class (modtagerklasse). This will help them acquire the necessary Danish proficiency to transition into a regular class. Children can attend a reception class from the age of 6 up to 17. 

The reception class in Syddjurs is located at Marienhoffskolen in Ryomgaard.

If your child has special needs due to a physical handicap, anxiety, autism, or speech, language or learning difficulties, you can get help from Pedagogic Psychological Advice (PPR). For more information, please reach out to the citizen service in Syddjurs.

Для початку вашу дитину буде записано до школи в окрузі, де ви живете. Окрім того, діти віком від 15 до 18 років мають можливість відвідувати клас інтенсивного вивчення данської у школі Марієнгофф у містечку Рюомгор.
